Spatial networks, clustering and spillovers : lessons for development (2013)

Abstract The geographic clustering of manufacturing activity has long been recognised asfacilitating the growth and prosperity of firms and regions alike. Empirical evidencehowever is limited, particularly in a developing country context. This thesis uses anexceptionally rich data set on manufacturing firms in Vietnam to explore issues relatingto the measurement of, and the driving forces behind, agglomeration.
